Chase the Kasey Lee May 2nd
Chase the Kasey Lee is a new and unique family event on Sunday 2nd May 2010 based in the seaside township of San Remo. Cyclists of all ages are invited to experience the fun of chasing down the Kasey Lee, the local ferry over a 6km coastal course before it returns to the finish line.
All families members are encouraged to participate as cyclists in the chase. Those not able to take up the cycle challenge of chasing the Kasey Lee can choose to participate as a passenger on the ferry.
The 6km ride begins at the San Remo foreshore and travels over the Phillip Island bridge into Newhaven. Cyclists will enjoy a scenic ride around the Newhaven foreshore before returning back over the bridge to the finish line.
The Kasey Lee begins its journey from the San Remo Jetty, it will travel into Western Port before reaching the "two tower turn". The two tower turn was created by John Dickie - captain of the Kasey Lee. It works by passengers on the ferry being able to line up two local towers on the land before the Kasey Lee can complete it's return leg to the San Remo Jetty.

From there riders will enjoy panoramic views of Coast and Country with minimal interference of cars before leaving the hills and following the coastal road back to San Remo. Two rides are available at 63 km and 114km.
